Running Accomplishments:

10k - 34.40 , Half Marathon 1.18.23 , Marathon 2.45.56

Most recent events have been London Marathon (April '08) in 2.52 , Great Scottish Run - Half M in 1.20.02 and a personal disaster at New York marathon when I scraped in on 2.59 and a bit.In my defence arriving less than 48 hours pre-race with a -13 hour time shift really wasn't that smart.

Short-Term Running Goals:

To get Marathon time back below 2.50 .Hopefully I'll do this at London in 2009 but if not I'll try and find a race in Asia that fits the bill.

Long-Term Running Goals:

To run sub 3 hr marathons for as long as practical .Came very close to losing it in NYC but that was just a bad day at the office .........I hope.

Personal:

Born and bred in Scotland and living in Singapore .Married with 2 daughters (aged 10/12). Work wise I spend too much time on airplanes and that seriously affects training but thats OK at least I get to run all over the world.

Also a keen cyclist but a bad swimmer so I need to make do with duathlons.Won the Singapore Duathlon in 2008 (old man category) and may enter my first major bike race in 2009 . This depends on London Marathon and training options in general.

Only one run today as we were visiting friends near Drogheda. The run itself was certainly one of those "I wish I'd not drunk so much last night" ones but it was such a treat running through Dublin early with hardly a soul around.Ran into the city past Grafton Street,Trinity Colege and onto Temple Bar.Got a bit lost but then headed along the Liffey out to the Port before coming back in again along the river and cutting off at Dublin Castle before heading back to the hotel.I guess I did a lot of sights in one run.
